As gay men, we do not have sexual relationships to procreate. As a result of our nature itself, our sex speaks to something beyond the desire to populate. This is part of what we are as a culture. Our sex asks us to deeply examine the societal injunctions against pleasure, body and lust. As queer culture, we redefine how we experience our bodies and our own corporal fluids. The perspective highlighted in this scene is the reinvention of sex through gay eyes, the fluids as a pleasurable aspect that enhances and expands our capacity to connect sexually beyond penetration - and especially, the sense impregnated with these various subversive acts.
